The One Thing To Remember When It All Feels Like Too Much

It’s been a record year of uncertainty, pain, anger, and loss. It feels like the whole world is stuck in the ‘upside down’ and none of us know how to get out of it. And now, we find ourselves bracing for a second wave of struggle as we anticipate what’s to come with Covid, the …

What to do if you’re feeling bored, unambitious or losing your passion for your work

I spend a lot of time helping women entrepreneurs navigate the turbulent waters of risk and vulnerability. Over-exposure to vulnerability often shows up as lethargy, burnout or dissonance–a general feeling of ‘meh’. When we trace the symptoms back to the source we tend to find a pattern of too much vulnerability and not enough respite …

3 Ways a Thought Partnership Can Increase Your Bottom Line

A few months ago, I became aware that my work had evolved significantly over the past couple of years and that using the term ‘coach’ to describe my role didn’t feel accurate anymore. Neither did mentor, teacher, or consultant. Instead, my work had developed into a seamless blend of all of these skill-sets together. For months I …

I’m Letting It Go

On February 1st I will be entering into my 8th year of self-employment. This feels significant to me. Like a rite of passage; a marker of persistance and determination; a brilliant reflection of hard-work and self-belief. Oh yeah. It totally feels like this. Eight years of doing work that I love. Eight years of  learning how …

3 Powerful Exercises To Help Your Pricing

One of the hardest aspects of becoming self-employed is that you’re no longer on salary and it’s up to you to set your prices and decide how much your work is “worth”. Worth. Value. Money. Big topics that tend to trigger so many of us. I’m curious, how do you set your prices? Do you …

Grande Greve, Cape Breton 😍 Grande Greve, Cape Breton 😍
Yesterday, at 1:30pm our Dad: Joseph Robert Jones, Yesterday, at 1:30pm our Dad: Joseph Robert Jones, age 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Dad was also known as ‘Joey’, ‘Big Joe’ and ‘Grandpa Joe’ and was well loved by everyone who knew him. Always with a huge smile and a twinkle in his eye. He loved his 3 little “munchkins” more than life itself. He was an ever present father to Joey and I, always there for us in every way. My Dad had the best of friends and community anyone could ever ask for. There is a huge unfillable void in our hearts. 💕
Thank you to everyone sending texts, emails, and p Thank you to everyone sending texts, emails, and phone calls about our Dad. My brother Joe, Aunt Doreen, & Uncle Brian are together here in Cape Breton spending quality time with him and keeping him comfortable. He remains in hospital where they can give him the support he needs. So many of you have also sat bedside with people you love dearly so you also know how it can be deeply intimate, beautiful, and gutting all at once and you just need to take it moment by moment. Ivy and I were able to get out for a big, cold walk this afternoon and it did us good. The ocean air — although biting — felt like a healing balm. 💕
